Adding The Microsoft Small Business Summit to Your Site

d_microsoft_SBS_webBanners_6[1]So a kewl new thing MS is doing this year is allowing you to stream the Small Business Summit from your own partner website.  Watch out for Scott’s face on my site

The process to add the java script snippet to a page is fairly easy and the fun of seeing if any of our customers actually attend will be my reward for time spent.  Will I get any sales?  Not sure. Will my customers feel more like we (Tech Care Team) are more than just a logo carrying partner with Microsoft?  I think so.

My only concern about this whole streaming thing is that MS is using the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX control and when downloading the control from Adobe it defaults to installing the Google toolbar.   So Microsoft in marketing their SB Summit it actually promoting the Google Toolbar to MS Partner’s customers.  Now that just doesn’t make sense.  Ever heard of Silverlight?  I couldn’t even get the control to install on my computer.  Maybe I should just install the Google Toolbar (right next to my Live Toolbar). ;-)
