Where’s My WSS Starter Site Toolkit?!?

May 30, 2008 – 3:56 pm

Had somebody go looking for the WSS Starter Toolkit I linked last year and said the link was down. Thanks Mike Iem for the great 5W50 presentation you have archived on this topic (and the good one today on SBS 2008) and for finding where the Toolkit went.  Here is the official answer from Mike:

They were moving servers for part of the site on Tuesday and we were one of the casualties. They’re still working on it, but it’s not back yet. Hopefully Monday. It will be at: https://partner.microsoft.com/wsskit.

Here is a summary of what is in the Toolkit for when the link works again.

  2. Hi Everyone

I recommend that you ping Erik Thorsell at Success Computer Consulting in Minneapolis. He was the architect behind this kit. Also if you email me at scrawford@itmatters.ca I have it in a ZIP file.

  3. Can I also give my own Sharepont v3 Operations Guide a plug? It is a subscription DVD that currently contains over 600 pages and >1GB of content about installing and maintaining WSS, especially on Small Business Server 2003.

    For more information see http://wssops.saturnalliance.com.au
where you can download the first chapter for free.

or my personal Sharepoint site at:

I created the guide after failing to find a lot os specific information about implmenting WSS, especially on SBS.
